Trudging forward

I have just a little bit to go. Powerlines, lines in the road, and a nip n tuck here and there.

This stretch of Farrington Highway is a few hundred feet from the shore on the left, the fields seem to be for sugar cane, there are also stands of banana trees, as well as pine trees everywhere. To the right and back about a mile is a small airstrip and a little further back on the shore is a segment of shoreline used for the plane crash scene and beach encampment for the series LOST. What I loved about this area is that it truly had a remote feeling, like you were at the edge of the world. Not a bad place to be. In fact, the northwesternmost tip of Oahu, closed off to traffic due to road conditions, is Kaena Point.... in some Hawaiian mythology it is said to be the jumping-off point from this world to the next. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaena_Point

Hawaii has lots of haunting folklore.

I'll have to try and remember to give you a call this weekend. Or you could call me, whichever.

It's great to see you painting again.

Cheers!
